"Hannibal, Missouri is a small town know for being the hometown of Mark Twain….but I love it for being right down the road from New London's Mystic Ridge Goldens!
My boy Finn (as in Huck) was whelped by Betty Jean on June 1, 2019. The pups only hours old, BJ began sending us photos and videos of our boy and his litter mates…and so began an amazing correspondence that continues to this day!
Bringing a pet into your home is a big decision – and with Betty Jean it never felt like a transaction – it was a relationship.
Over time, the relationship grew out of a mutual love of an amazing breed, into a friendship built on respect, trust, humor and puppy breath!
BJ hosted me in her home, shared her beautiful farm, and invited me into her extended family when she handed over our darling dog. When I was introduced to Mystic Ridge Goldens I not only found an amazing dog, I made a treasured friend!"

"I am so lucky to have good friends that helped to connect me with Betty Jean and ultimately to our dog, Lucy.Betty Jean is knowledgeable, friendly, organized and accommodating.
Upon arrival I was immediately impressed with the set up. Lucy's parents instantly came to greet us and I knew at that moment I was getting a special dog. The dogs had the freedom to play outdoors and interact with their environment. It was evident that the dogs were in very good hands.
Lucy is a happy, healthy, well-adjusted dog. Our family adores her and we are so grateful to Betty Jean for making this possible! She is such a sweet girl.
The bond that she has with Lily especially is so sweet to watch. They truly have grown up together. We are blessed! "

"I was fortunate enough to meet Betty Jean when I was a very young man. My family had golden retrievers my whole life.
When I went to college, something seemed off. Having no dog for the first time in my life was different. Naturally I felt like I needed a dog. My junior year of college, I was living in a house and mentioned to my mom that I was thinking about getting a dog. She immediately told me that Betty Jean was having puppies soon and I should think about getting one from her. Thank God that I did.
Thunder came into my life and I haven’t looked back. I got this puppy and had no idea what to do, I had lofty goals but no idea how to attain them. I joined my local retriever club because of Thunder. Put in a lot of hard work because of Thunder. In August of 2017, Thunder obtained his Master Hunter title. There has been ups and downs in training, but Thunder is truly a once in a lifetime dog. He is extremely willing to be trained, and is a complete pleasure to have in the house. He is the same dog whether in a duck blind when it is ten degrees outside or in the house laying on the bed with you. A dog that is always there for you no matter what.
Without Betty Jean my life would be completely different. Thunder has made such an impact on my life in ways that cannot be described. I will forever be thankful to Betty Jean for trusting me to be the owner of one of her puppies.

"Yes I still have his ashes and after he passed the animal hospital made a paw print in black in and tied some of his fur in a gold bow and framed it.
He was my service dog and therapy dog that's to easy training and coming from the best golden Breeder in the country."
